Finn's Pirate Adventure

Captain Finn Sparrow and Iron Grammy Sexton went on a most excellent pirate adventure today. They visited the Maritime Museum and climbed in a submarine. They took a boat ride on 'The Pilot' and help some other pirates scare off a few sailors. They were treated to a pedi-cab ride around the harbour and had some fish'n'chips for lunch. The day was a success except for the fact that they did not come home with any sunken treasure, just a few souvenirs!

Just Another Day in San Diego!

Maggie and Mom went snorkeling at La Jolla Cove today. We had a great time and saw plenty of fish. We climbed through caves and along rocky tide pools. Maggie caught a bunch of hermit crabs and we saw a few giant crabs. We could not take anything away because it is a protected preserve. So the Mccurdys are still a pet-free household! Next week we are going to take Emma and Finn with us and bring a bag of frozen peas. We heard the fish love them and will swarm around you to get at the bag!

San Diego Summer

We are back in San Diego for the summer. Having a great time in the pool. I think the kids would be happy to stay home and swim all day, everyday! Owen has ditched his floatie and is cannonballing off the diving board! We'll try to get some pictures of him soon.

We took a short break from the pool and went to Sea World on Monday.

After a steamy hot afternoon picking berries we headed to lake!

We had a great time swimming and even talked Mimi into joining us for a dip. Somehow pictures of Mimi swimming mysteriously disappeared from the camera!

Owen started out scared and then was doing cannonballs off the dock!

We went to pick blueberries and strawberries with Mimi on Friday. It was blazin' hot but we got a huge bucket of each! And then headed home to snack!

We're Back!

And right back into the swim of things... literally! We had our 1st swim meet Tuesday night and the kids did great! Finn and Maggie each swam 2 races and Emma was in 1. The rain came down and ended it early, just as Emma was getting in to swim her 2nd event!
