Fun with Uncle PG!

We took Uncle PG on a hike at Torrey Pines State Park. We strolled 1.2 miles down to the beach... and then had to hike back up! It was a beautiful day. There were some men fishing down at the beach and one of them caught a baby shark. He threw it back in!

We went to the Zoo late in the afternoon. We took the bus tour and saw the special night show. Finn was handpicked out of the audience to help the clown warm up the crowd. He had to do all the dances that she did. He was awesome! He was picked for the same thing 2 years ago. It is now his goal to be picked every year!

Legoland!

Dad's brother PG flew down from San Francisco to visit us in San Diego -- and first order of business was a trip to Legoland!










Maggie and Owen had a blast getting their driver's licenses.



Uncle PG, Emma and Finn tried their best to keep the pizza lunch at bay while spinning on the Bioncle.



The hit of the day in the hot sunshine was the Pirate Shores area -- everything devoted to getting wet - including the Splash Battle -- where the fun was firing water at other boats, and even people watching from outside!

Emma is 10!

The first day of Emma's 10th year started with a 6:55am pajama swim! And a big stack of pancakes for breakfast. We went to Sea World in the morning. We pet some sting rays and fed and pet a few dolphins. We also took a special "Saving the Species" tour for Emma's birthday. We got to go back behind some exhibits and see some of the research areas. We also touched a baby shark and fed some endangered Sea Turtles. It was a great day. We came home and had a little party with Scott. Nicole and Megan. We swam some more and had cake and ice cream.

USS Midway

Tuesday Grammy and Maggie had an afternoon together and the rest of us went to the USS Midway. It is a huge aircraft carrier that is now a big museum. We sat in the cockpit of a few fighter planes and helicopters. We also got to see what is was like to live on the ship.

More Snorkel Fun!

We went back to La Jolla Cove on Monday afternoon to do some more snorkeling. We brought some frozen peas this time and the fish swarmed us! There were so many fish all around that you could not swim without bumping into them. Scott, Nicole and Megan came with us and we finished up our fun with a picnic snack!

Dad's Here!

Dad is finally here! He got in late Saturday night. We had a great day with him Sunday. Of course we went to his all-time favorite, Rubio's, for lunch and then came back and went for a swim. After dinner we went to Sea World for some late-night fun! We saw a few shows and some good fireworks.

Camp is Over!

The kids all had a great week at camp. Owen had fun at Finn's camp! He and Mom went to watch Finn most everyday. Owen boogie boarded in the bay and built sand castles. Finn had a blast wake boarding and can't wait to get his own board and hit Lake West Point next month with Pops! (Head's up Uncle David... Finn wants to learn some tricks!) Maggie had fun as well, but spent everyday way out on the bay and we never saw her. She is definitely out water girl!

This is Emma and her new friend Jayden that she met at Broadway Kids camp. They had a great week and put on a fantastic song and dance show for us on Friday. Dad comes in tonight. We're ready for him! I am sure there will be plenty of fun ahead for us to share!

More Fun!

Finn is taking Wakeboard camp this week! We'll try to send video soon!

Maggie's camp is all water sports. Monday she went out on a kayak and Tuesday on this sailboat. Emma is at acting camp... Friday is her show and I am sure there will be plenty of pics to share!

After camp we went to Belmont Park. It is an amusement park on the beach. Finn and Mom rode the old wooden roller coaster! Owen loved the merry-go-round! And the other 3 had a big time on the Coconut Climb!

Super Saturday!

Grammy and her friend Alicia took the Emma and Maggie to the American Girl Place in Los Angeles. The girls (all 4 of them!) had a great time. The had lunch, did some shopping, got the dolls' hair done and saw the American Girl Play. The arrived home excited and tired after a long day!

The boys and mom met Yasmin at a horse show. She was not riding, but her horse "Jina" was in the show with a friend of Yasmin's. Finn and Owen got to feed Jina carrots and give her a brush.
